Oven Kubbe with toasted almonds (Kubbe Fil Furn)

My friend Kako of http://kako-enguete.blogspot.com/ is the hostess of this month in HEM 34 and she choose Oriental and Magreb Food, and I love this idea because I prepare normal oriental food (by hubby's family) and I make this Oven Kubbe with almonds, I have other recipes of Kubbe I posted too.

In America the arabians people (from Palestina, Líbano and Siria) arrive in the year 1948, later arrive again in 1975-1990 after the Libano war .

Anyway they love here and married and have family by alot of generations.

The arabian cook arrive from the Orient but here we have a mix of Spain, and our food and this we have this fusion that come from Palestina, Líbano and Siria.

They have a lot of recipes salad and sweet, I make normally savoy recipes, stuffed zuchinnis, stuffed grapes vine leaves, burgol meat, kebbas and others.

Is a grinded beef meat with burgol and some toasted almonds over the meat.

With this recipe you can make burgers too and are so tasty.

Ingredients(8 a 10 servings)

1 cup and half of burghol (in oriental stores

or in Supermarket in healthy food)

1 Kg. beef meat grinded

2 tablespoon of oil

salt

pepper

2 green onion chopped

1/2 cup of toasted almonds

Method

In a bowl the burghol with warm water by 1 hora aprox.

After this strain well with a colander until is dry.

Place the beef meat in a large bowl, moist your hands with water and add the burghol as kneading by 10 minutes, add the oil and let rest by a while in the fridge.

Add the chopped green onions, salt and peper and join well.

In a rectangular mold (metalic or pyrex) greased with butter and place the mix of meat and burghol as you at the picture.

With a moist knife make some rhombus and place toasted almonds inside to cover the Kubbe.

Cook at the oven by 20 to 25 minutes. Not more because could be drying

You can serve in the same mold or in litthe dishes with some salads, or arabian rice (recipe in labels)

Other type of this I make is I as 1 cup of grinded waltnuts but in this case not add the green onions.

Ingredientes (8 a 10 porciones)

1 y 1/2 taza de burghol

1 k. de carne molida de vacuno(tipo tártaro)

2 cebollines picados fino

sal

pimienta
